Bistek Tagalog

Marinating Time: 1hr. – overnight (refrigerate)

Cooking time: 1-1 ½ hour

 INGREDIENTS:

1 Kilo Beef (sirloin), thinly sliced

Pork (pork chop cut / lean meat), thinly sliced

4 cloves of garlic (crushed)

-half for marinate

-half for sautéing

3 medium onion (cut into rings)

3 tbsp lime or lemon juice

1/8 cup DATU PUTI soy sauce

 BISTEK MARINADE:

Combine the following:

Suggestion: You may use a meat tenderizer, so the meat is easier to cook.

1 kilo beef or pork

1/8 cup DATU PUTI soy sauce

3 tbsp lime or lemon juice

Garlic (crushed)

 HOW TO COOK:

§ Heat the skillet over medium heat and add oil. Stir fry the meat until tender.

§ In another skillet, start sautéing the garlic until lightly brown, then put the onion rings, let it cook until translucent.

§ Add in the meat and the marinade to the onion rings, simmer for about 10mins. over low heat.

§ Serve with steamed rice.

 NOTE:

You can add potatoes too. Just cut the potatoes into rounds. Fry it first, then you can add it at the end. Also serves, as a garnish.
